Rise Tv-Stand
A Tv stand with a focus on the beauty of wood.
The first thing I noticed when walking into the client’s home was how much they appreciated fine woodworking. Throughout the house were unique works of art with many different species of wood. Above the tv is a hand-hued fireplace beam dating back over 150 years. The beam is a focal point in the living room. Unforchantly due to the layout of the room, the Tv blocked a large portion of the beam. We built this Tv stand with an elevator lift mechanism to raise and lower a large Tv and to allow the beam to remain the focal point of the home.
This stand was built out of solid black walnut hardwood local to upstate NY. All the live edge material was milled by myself and air-dried over 4 years. Air drying is slow but gives you a very rich and beautiful color contrast. I had the client come over and hand-select the pieces for the live edge. We chose to make epoxy river-style doors as they matched other epoxy furniture in the home.
It received a varnish spray finish for its incredible durability and satin sheen, Push to open hardware, Adjustable shelves, Wire organization strips, Electrical strip, Glide feet, Tv lift.
This Table was designed step-by-step in conjunction with our client who commissioned this project. This item has been sold, but if you are interested in a similar piece or have a project vision, don’t hesitate to contact us.
